Not AAAAA+ anymore.... Good for travel....
I use it for flyn around for work with the military, great for what I need. light weight, easy to carry, I have no cons for what it is. I lv it! *****EDITED*****Took it out for two weeks worked great in March. May I took it out for two more weeks and had power plug in issues and it was a hit or miss, with the monitor staying. Just prepped it for trip here in June, and went to see why I was having issues on my last trip, and found the connector inside the monitor was loose. Went to plug in the cord and the connector just broke off. The reviews did say some people had issues with this, but thought, I am usually not hard on my equipment. I wasn't ruff or anything with it. Now I can't return it through Amazon or Gaems. I would advise the company change the power connection to a more durable one. I would not recommend this product even though I was stoked at first. I like the ease of travel and quality was good, but now I just wasted $160. THINK very hard about buying this! If you are just going to keep on your desk in one spot, I think I will work great. If there was something to do to change my current rating, would just to replace it.

Great value. VERY easy to use. Price is right. Looks great. VERY light. Buy it.
Quick review: $$$$ - GREAT. Weight - shockingly light (shockingly) // setup - could not be simpler (microusb/hdmi) // size - just big enough before being too big // color - pretty darn good/won't be as brilliant as a highend laptop /j/ brightness - pretty good/as you crank up brightness you lose some sharpness // sharpness - pretty good, with some quick adjustments it gets better // sound - pretty good/but not quite great // controls - as clunky as any button controls on any high end monitor/display // applications - gaming, face to face sales presentations, 2nd monitor, 1st monitor, road warrior (multiple applications), Now the details - I was looking at the HP portable monitors (a bit more expensive) when I stumbled onto this little gem. I did not like the fact that the HP, as with most of the other high end options, was dependent upon USB connection and a special application needed to drive the display. Furthermore, those other options could not do Android devices and some even needed yet a 2nd application if you also needed to display Apple as well. (yes, some weirdos use all 3 platforms). This was the best option, by far, that I found at this price point that was a simple HDMI interface which opens up is usability to anything with an HDMI output or anything that can be converted to HDMI with a simple adapter. That is basically everything that exists today. "Most" current devices that output display have HDMI output or some sort of portable/micro HDMI interface. I should mention that I did not buy this for gaming despite the name "Gaems". I purchased it as a mobile 2nd monitor. I'll comment on that application. I live in Orlando and commute to Miami a few times a month. I was looking for a lightweight and portable 2nd monitor that I could use on the road that could fit in my backpack. This one does that. I create training and sales material and this thing works like a charm as 2nd monitor. It fits in my laptop bag. I don't think it would fit into a smaller back pack (or even a ManPack) intended for devices such as a Surface, tablets or other smaller devices. But if your backpack will fit a typical full size laptop, this should fit as well. I have an HP OMEN 15 1/2 inch Out of the box it is up in running in about 60 seconds if you are even marginally technically savvy. One HDMI cord, one USB micro cord for power and bam. I have also plugged into my Samsung Galaxy s5, Netflix dongle, an ASUS Miracast dongle, Chromecast dongle, a Sony HandyCam and yes...an Xbox (after I had already convinced my wife that i didn't buy it for gaming). It comes with the cables you'll need, some basic instructions, a cover/stand and 2 small screws used to attach the monitor to the cover. the cover adds just a few millimeters to the thickness but not enough to make any significant impact to the overall footprint. I was a little surprised by the screws, but then realized that it saves on thickness by not having traditional harnesses that encase or wrap around the device the way that perhaps many tablet cases would. It is actually a clever solution to affixing the monitor to the cover/stand with minimal impact to overall footprint (cheers to the design team). I've watched video, done visually intensive work, played games and even done small training and boardroom display functions using this monitor and have had nothing but success. Time will tell me how durable it is, but overall I am very impressed with the device. If you are looking for a super high end super crisp image with radiant colors with very black blacks and very white whites this may not be the option for you. For the rest you who's application is more pedestrian as are mine, you will find this to be a really great solution.

Great for portable gaming, but a bit on the delicate side.
I bought this to play my PS4 in my college dorm back in 2015. It is extremely light, and the backpack easily holds my PS4, all of the wires associated with it, the monitor, a dualshock controller, and a few games.I bought the monitor with an anti-glare screen protector, and I have had no issues with angling the monitor or glare (obviously). The image quality is not amazing, but it was good enough for what it was. The low resolution was only glaringly obvious to me when I used it as a second monitor to my laptop every now and then. I personally have not had any dead pixels during the two years that I used this monitor for, though many other reviews seem to state otherwise. I am of the opinion that this should not be an issue as long as you are careful while handling the monitor. Turning the monitor on did become a slight issue after the first few months (it simply would not turn on or it would go through the GAEMS screen and then remain blank), but I generally found that it worked after fiddling a bit with the usb power cable. I also found that it was easier to successfully turn on the monitor while using it with a PS4 when I turned the monitor on AFTER the PS4 had fully started up (i.e. the power strip was white and the PS4 was at the home screen). The monitor's USB must be plugged into the 3.0 port in the PS4 for it to work (if you are using it with a PS4. It worked just fine with all of the ports on my laptop). However, I have never had to use both usb ports at once in order to power the monitor, on the PS4 or otherwise. I have not used the monitor's audio jack and thus cannot comment on its quality. As I only used one of my PS4's usb ports to power the monitor, I used the free one for my usb headset. The monitor only broke recently, after 2 years of decent, continuous use (~4-8 hours/week). The micro usb port on the monitor had somehow been pushed into housing unit. As there is no way to open up the unit itself for repairs without literally wrenching the entire thing apart with brute force, this effectively bricked it. Overall, I was happy with this purchase, and have ordered a replacement. I only expected for it to last a couple of years to being with, and its quality of use has been generally constant throughout.

Will meet the needs of a niche audience
This monitor works as advertised, providing a portable way to play your console or desktop PC games on the road. But it's not without its faults. Ultimately, this is a product you'll buy because there aren't any good alternatives, but there is lots of room for this product to improve. Pros: -Portable. The 15" screen size works well for portability while still providing ample viewing space. The integrated cover and stand is also a great idea, well executed. -Convenient. Easy set up with HDMI in, so it works with a built-in connector on every recent console and most laptops and desktop PC's. Having the monitor powered by USB means no searching for another outlet or power strip. -Flexibility. Works as a portable primary monitor for a console or PC, a secondary monitor for a PC, and a portable media screen with a Roku, Apple TV, or Amazon Fire Stick. -Price. Yes, you can get a standard monitor cheaper, but you'll sacrifice portability (most monitors will include a bulky stand, and it's tough to find a good monitor under 19"). You're paying for the portability and compatibility of HDMI. Cons: -Screen Quality. Unfortunately, there is lots of room for improvement in screen quality. The 1366x768 resolution is comparable with lots of smaller TV's, but doesn't compare well to laptops of the same size. Colors can appear washed out - I can see different "blocks" of colors on this screen that appear as smooth gradients on my TV. The viewing angles on this screen are poor compared to most modern laptop screens - you have to position yourself directly in front of it. This can be a big drawback if you wanted to play games with other people on the same screen. The monitor works, but you'll probably get a lower quality picture than the TV or computer screen you're used to. I would absolutely pay more ($200) for an IPS screen at 1080p. -No built in speakers. This helps with the monitor's portability, but the lack of speakers means you have to bring headphones or portable speakers, which could be more of a hassle. It's also a drawback for people sharing the screen to play multiplayer games, and if you want to use this as a portable TV/media screen. With low priced tablets that are thin, light, and contain their own speakers (even if they are not the highest quality), it's a letdown to not have speakers in this monitor. This product works. It is convenient, and easy to set up. But most importantly, there are no major competitors that combine this level of portability with a standard HDMI connector and USB power. I would love to see more competition in this field, and I honestly believe that GAEMS has a good monitor to iterate on. If they follow this product up with one with a higher quality screen and built-in speakers, even for a higher price, it would be a fantastic product.

The Good / The Bad / The Ugly
After spending some quality time (2 weeks) with the GAEMS M155, I feel I now have enough experience with it to have a balanced view of this new gaming device. I'll do my best to be informative and help those of you on the fence understand both the potential and limitations of the product. Here we go: The Specifics------------------ I use a Macbook Pro 13" 2011 with Yosemite on it. My gaming machine of choice is the launch day PS4 I play lots of COD. Haters will hate, FPS campers will appreciate. I'm an Apple fanboy who makes a living in the advertising industry doing design work. I'm known for taking extremely good care of my tech. I'm an adult. The Product--------- First and foremost, this was designed for gamers. This is not intended to be a screen for your palm pilot or blackberry. I will not waste review time discussing absolutely derelict devices so out of the obvious use spectrum. This unit is meant for gaming, with a secondary screen use market as an obvious upsell for the purchase of the M155. The M155 is an awesome concept. It's like taking a portable screen in a bag for your gaming system and not needing the HUGE clamshell cases GAEMS is well known for. I've played about 15 hours on my screen so far, and not a dead pixel in sight. No lag. Love the portability, and love that I'm no longer forced with choosing between a real TV or a nuclear warhead case. There are quite a few problems though: The Screen-------------- Overall 6/10 I really, really wanted to love this screen. The problem is, the viewing angles are SO bad when compared to virtually ANY phone, tablet, notebook, or tv. Do not buy the pitch that two players will enjoy a game session here. It's just not a reality. You'll need to be head on. A little over, or under, or to the side and the edges of the screen will be washed out. You've been warned. But for solo gaming, not bad. *PS: It's Glossy* I give the screen a 6 out of 10. I think for a little more time in development, this screen could have had much better viewing angles. The Audio--------------- 0/10 I hate to break it to you...but there are no speakers in this thing. On the GAEMS promo videos they claim that they did not develop the M155 with speakers due to weight issues, and that leaving them out cut down on the weight / profile. I call BS. In reality, you are most likely reading this review on a phone with built in speakers that could have worked on this unit. So those Netflix sessions you wanted to use your Xbox and GAEMS M155 on? Better grab the headphone splitters. That or grab a decent speaker, thus adding bulk and defeating the purpose of this slim product. I'm really disappointed in their effort here; I would hound them about crappy speakers, but this...they simply chose not to care. The Design---------------- Overall 7/10 A couple of things here. The stand works well enough, providing you don't strip the screws or lose them. There are two screws that hold the cover/stand to the M155. They are total trash. They will end up going rogue within a few years, I guarantee. Think about the amount of iPhone cases and iPad cases. Think about the volume of windows and android cases with felt covers. These guys most likely own those devices and covers, and while developing the M155 they chose 2 screws to secure the case to their product. Lazy development here. That's all there is to it. The Software / Menu System / Controls------------ Overall 4/10 Bare bones menu system. I have contrast cranked all the way up to compensate for color being washed out depending on the viewing angle. Basic settings available. Think what your mom's old CRT TV had. It works. The Connections---------------------------------- Overall 3/10 A couple of things to note. The M155 is powered by dual usb's chained (see pic). These can either be plugged into your gaming system / computer or one of them plugged into the included wall adapter. These chords are super short. You'll need bigger ones if you plan on moving the screen farther from the console. One headphone jack. You'll need this baby since there are NO speakers on the M155. Pray hard that this never gives out under continual use. One HDMI input. I have had a real bad time with this port. Often, I would turn the M155 and the PS4 on at the same time already connected, and the M155 would display nothing, and then just power down. I would turn the M155 on again, same result. What I found, after reaching out to GAEMS support, is that there is a "supposed" HDMI connectivity issue on Playstation's side of things. I find that hard to believe, because I have yet to EVER replicate this problem on any other display, but alas, GAEMS claims it's all Sony's fault. Regardless of where the blame lies, the solution is that every PS4 owner who wants to use the M155 must do the following: Step 1: Power on PS4 (NO HDMI connected to GAEMS, PS4 connection fine) Step 2: Power on M155 (NO HDMI connected to GAEMS, PS4 connection fine) Step 3: Wait for GAEMS logo to appear, disappear, and then reappear Step 4: Re-insert HDMI Cable into GAEMS HDMI port Step 5: M155 comes on with PS4 displaying This solution works every time. Problem is, what a sucky way to just use the screen you paid for! Would you be okay if it was your main tv that required this? (We would send that _______ back to the manufacturer!) Once again GAEMS claims this is Sony's fault...but I don't buy it. Macbook Pro Use (Second Screen)------------------------ Overall 7/10 Not a bad second screen for your mac. Colors are off a bit (obviously) and of course pixel clarity leaves much to be desired. But in no way worse than plugging your mac into your tv. Social Media managers rejoice....this screen might help you manage 15 profiles on the road. Overall Concept------------------------------------------------- 5/10 I really wanted to love this device. The land of missed opportunities is where the M155 originates. I really think GAEMS was just too shortsighted here. As for what it claims to be, with no speakers, bad viewing angles, awkward PS4 support, and lazy overall design...the M155 is a 5 out of 10. Am I happy to use it? Sure. Would I buy it again if someone stole it? Nope. There will be better options in the future. Let's talk about what they missed here. In focusing on the gamer as the sole market, they forgot about secondary markets. Had they built a better screen, included speakers, designed a better case, and had better HDMI port support...what else should they have done? I believe they missed a wonderful opportunity to include Netflix / Hulu / Amazon into the screen menu software, and they did not include a digital tuner or any way to watch over-the-air digital tv. Think about it. What if on a plane, you wanted a giant 15" screen that didn't have a huge keyboard attached to it, or require a console for entertainment? What if I could mount this thing on a wall in the kitchen for Netflix as I cook, and put it in the travel case for those trips I want to game? A Chromecast could fix this, but really, GAEMS was shortsighted on this one. The screen has a primary gaming focus, yes - but there is so much missed potential here for portable entertainment. Right now the tablet market is widespread, but $200 for a slimline portable entertainment tv? Nobody is doing that. The concept is ripe for the harvesting. As more and more adults hit the road more often, this kind of product just makes sense. We don't need another tablet. We just need a slim quality $200 tv that can go in our bag preloaded with Netflix / Hulu / and Amazon, and one that we can connect to the console of our choice on the go and share with friends. I can't hook my PS4 up to my iPad, otherwise I would not need a product like the M155. I think that if GAEMS missed the mark for their target market, they really missed the opportunities on the secondary market. If any of you could go home today, and tell your significant other that there was a slim 15" tv preloaded with streaming media services, a great screen, and nice audio that just-so-happened to also be able to connect to your computer as a second display and you could game on during the family trips.....I mean who couldn't sell that concept for $200. Pitching the idea for a $170 display just for gaming, no speakers and bad viewing angles...request denied! :) To Sum It Up------------ Great for: Adult Gamers on the go. Bad for: Kids and anyone looking for portable entertainment.

Save your money! DOA to your doorstep.
DOA. Made in 2014, think someone would have checked to see it the thing powers on. Plugged into the outlet, dead, reason my best guess, is the toggle power button not connected to the board. Either way, plus tried to reach customer service during business hours they're in WA. I'm not going to wait 24 hours for a call back and a product over $100 during bushiness hours! Especially when products for way less have customer support available for a quick response. Make sure your product works before approving for sell. Just because you upgraded to online sells, and you have a new product for get this $399.99! Don't drop the ball on your other products you continue to sell. Because I won't buy another, and hopefully if your reading this, you'll reconsider this product. Like I said, happy with your QA? Reason for lengthy post, I was excited for this incredible product, great idea, great functionality, and it's niche to help me out. But when a company drops the ball for something simple that makes a huge! Difference for the customer if it works or not please just make sure it doesn't happen again. The stats people tell 10 people about the negative product, so why be part of that, I'd rather have the 2+ positive shares w/out the negative. Argh sending stuff that needs to be repackaged, taped, labeled, dropped off to be sent back is not okay. So that's why, wasting the customers time. I'm disappointed. They could be #1 in their niche, but not if they don't fix crap like this. GAEMS M155 15.5" HD LED Performance Portable Gaming Monitor for PS4, XBOX ONE, and other Consoles (console not included)

Worst experience. Never buying from Gaems again.
I first order this monitor due to the fact that it used the same micro USB as my phone and the lightweight/portability factor of the monitor. I LOVED this thing when it worked and absolutely HATED it when it didn't, Ill explain. When this first came to me I was impressed with the box it came in the overall quality of the screen but soon after using it for only a couple of hours I noticed that it wouldn't want to turn on sometimes for no reason. So I got another one thanks to Amazons return policy of it being only a month of having to deal with the issue. I get the second monitor shortly after and fall in love with the screen all over again until of having it for not even 2 weeks and my Micro USB power slot falls in the screen. I didn't force it in it just caved in. Having already returned one and now dealing with that. I'm never buying from Gaems again.

Very Good Product for people that needs an extra Monitor on ...
Very Good Product for people that needs an extra Monitor on the go. In my opinion this product is great. I would reccommend mostly for indoor use as this has a glossy finish.. I've been contemplating between the Gaems Sentry, Vanguard and the M155. The Vanguard and Sentry are great products, I simply went personal Preference, which is true portability. I prefer not advertising what I have in my bag, I honestly don't want to be a target carrying around the Sentry or Vanguard as most gamers knows what it is. With the M155 it's like a 15 inch tablet, don't even feel any weight on it.. it comes with a case already which is adequate for protection and transport, not the best looking or feeling. I can easily throw this in a carryon or backpack no one would ever know what's really in there. I personally use this for strictly gaming... even though it's natively 720p, it looks great, and crisp. Viewing angles arn't the best but it isn't the bad also. Comes with USB Y Cable for Power, and also includes an short HDMI cable which is good enough for me. Also comes with the optional Wall Plug. I used this with an Ps4 and Ps3 so far.. I never needed to plug it into the wall as of now.. just plug the USB Y Cable into the console and your ready to game.. this doesn't come with any built in speakers but comes with a 3.5 headphone jack.. It was Meant for Gamers to use they're Headsets. Works real well,, TV settings have sound adjustments such as Bass, Treble, and EQ. Great fine tuning for the sound.. Picture Quality Is good but the Viewing angles arnt too good from up to down, I wouldn't reccommend using this outdoors with bright sunlight also. Overall I am impressed this with product from gaems.. update about 2 weeks later. Still loving this product. I applied a generic anti glare screen protector for 15.6 inch laptops... really enhances the experience. Just about completely got rid of the glare while colors and over all picture quality still is vibrant and crisp. Screen protector fits a little tight might need to trim the left or right edge. no signs of port breakage or any defects as of now. Thanks amazon and Games! Pros: Very Lightweight, Portable, Good Crisp Picture Quality Comes with All hookups to get started right away Comes with Case No Motion Blur or any latency to worry about 3.5 mm Jack for Headphones or External SPeakers with great fine tuning for the Sound Quality Cons: 720p res. natively, while it does accept 1080p signals still, pic will always be at 720p (1280 x 720) mediocre Viewing angles Short USB and HDMI Cables Glossy Screen no built in speakers The CONS arn't really deal breakers for me at all. just some things to worth pointing out to everyone else that may read this short review. I Rated 5 stars because I love it as it's all I want and need for portability even though they're a few more options out there, it's much more expensive.. Gaems made this primarily for Game Consoles and Gamers on the go although you can hook up anything via HDMI input. Well Enjoy,, thanks GAEMS for a great Product..

Unconventional use but very happy with this monitor.
The first order went missing in delivery but Amazon made that good and expressed another on next day delivery. I use the portable gaming monitor as a second display for my notebook while traveling. It is small, light, USB powered and has a great display. When not at work I snap an Android TV box on the back and watch movies making it a great traveling TV. For the most part I find myself running everything off my Anker 79AN7906 battery pack making it a work and play anywhere solution. One of these days I will get around to gaming on it which it is very capable the few times I gave it a try. No complaints, the monitor delivers all that it promises and it has met all my expectations so far.
