This book of origami is truly magical. The directions are very easy to follow and the models progress in difficulty gradually. However, if you're a seasoned origamist like myself. You can through out the book. I have yet to make the three head dragon yet. But, there are many model for all ages.

I purchased this book specifically because it had origami for the 12 zodiac symbols. I have intermediate origami skills & I'm very good at following instructions. Unfortunately, a number of steps in each of the origami projects I've tried so far have very unclear instructions. There were a number that I was eventually able to work out and I've begun to write my own explanations in the book for use in the future, but there are some instructions that have completely stumped me. In one of the projects, the Ox, the illustration figure changes without any additional fold instructions and I couldn't come up with any rationale for the inexplicable change.Also, I found that even 8x8 origami paper was not large enough, due to the complexity of the folds upon folds.Perhaps someone with advanced origami skills can get past the areas with unclear instructions, but as cool as the origami projects are, I would not recommend this book to anyone else.So, disappointed!

This is an excellent book! I have been folding Origami for over 18 years now, and have read/used many books. This one is impressive! It has easy to follow diagrams AND the designs of the models are surprisingly much more straightforward than I would have thought. If you are an absolute beginner, you may find it pretty difficult to fold a good number of these (Origami, like anything else, takes practice). However, if you have some experience and can fold things a bit more complicate than a traditional crane, then I'm sure you will find this one to be enjoyable :)

I b=purchased several of these books for my 7 year old grandson when he showed some interest in the subject. He loved them. He is always making figures out of origami paper using these books. sometimes he combines the "how to" videos to complete the task when he is confused about the instructions.

I have to admit this origami is the toughest to do in my life. It sure is for advance but have not been able to do almost any of them for over a year now. Nice if someone is more advance than me, but usually I am great at origami. In addition, I like the old version of this book better.

英語であると言う事は無視してもよいでしょう。　折るのを楽しめますし、折りあがった作品も綺麗です。　ただし、難易度はやや高めで、説明がやや大雑把です。　日本語の難易度の高い本で、沈め折り等の技を習得してからチャレンジする事をお勧めします。

子供にとって魅力的なキャラクターが多い反面、一筋縄ではいかないようで、うちの子は何度も繰り返して織っています。完成した時の歓び方を見る限り、達成感は相当のようです。ただ、折り方が??なところがあるため、☆4とさせていただきました。

1回では上手くできない作品が多いけど、完成した時に達成感があって良い。
