Setting results One: Spread cake lace mix over the lace mat and leave to dry in a warm dry place (ideally an airing cupboard or near a radiator) after one to two hours apply a second layer of mix, then leave for a further 8 to 12 hours. Two: Spread cake lace mix over lace mat and place in the oven at mark 100 with the door open slightly. Leave it in for up to twenty mins, depending on how thick the lace is, if very thin then ten minutes would be enough, if thicker twenty mins, no more than twenty five minutes. Apply a second layer of cake lace and place back in the oven for the same a of time. If needed add a third layer and repeat. This product does need a little heat to set it will not set in the British climate without it. Once set this product can be painted before placing on the cake. Once dried it will remain flexible for up to 4 days, longer if kept in a zip lock bag.
