Great piece of kit, you will not buy better, could do with a couple extra pegs, I have purchased this before (19 yrs ago) only reason I am buying again is because my first one has gone missing, so the price is very economical as mine lasted 10 yrs and is still going as it’s been knicked,

DD Hammocks have been in the tarp and hammock game for a long time. That only happens because they make quality gear. They are popular for a reason. They might not be the cheapest on the market but high quality never is. The material is strong. It has loads of tie out points that are very well sewn on with strengthening sections to boost that reliability even more. I've used this tarp to put over the front of my Wild Country Helm 2 tent to give me a bigger place to sit and cook if the weather is rubbish so I'm not stuck in my tent all day. I hold the front corners up with hiking poles and guy line everything down like a makeshift awning. The company also make a silicone version which is lighter than this one but it's more expensive. It could be worth the extra expense if you're going to be hiking a long way with it. Personally I will stick with this one.

Never experienced camping with a tarp before, but I will never look back now. Thanks to all the tie out points on this item, it can be hung in many different configurations. If you pre-set it up, you can have this out the bag and hung in a matter of minutes. Our first night we were battered by wind and rain, the tarp held up beautifully, retaining it's tautness throughout the night and, more importantly, kept us bone dry. The fabric feels pretty tough and durable, and the re-enforcement on the tie out points give me absolute confidence in their strength. The only downsides to the item are, it does weight more than I expected, but still lighter than our tent. The weight was not an issue at all though, and if it means it's more durable then I'm absolutely fine with it. Also, the included guy lines aren't the best and you'd likely need to purchase separate parachord. They're only about 2m long, and the fabric doesn't feel very strong. They suited fine for tying the tarp off to the ground, though they did stretch in the rain requiring re-adjustment. Overall, super happy with this item and would happily recommend it!

really makes you re-think how big 3x3 can be, quite a piece of kit! can be used in different form e.g. lean-to or A-frame. doesn't come with cord for a ridgeline so bare that in mind. material itself is fairly durable and not afraid to tighten/ stretch it a little. woke up with damp on the underside last time I used it but that was most likely from the dew on the grass I pitched on. as for my first time owning a tarp along side with my bivvy, I'm quite content :)

I bought this as an insurance policy against tent damage caused by high winds to my ultralight hiking tent. I’m dubious about the tent surviving anything above a 25mph wind so wanted something to create a wind break or temporary roof to pitch my tent under to keep things as dry as possible while setting up. It’s perfect for that, durable, well made, rugged with great pitch points, etc. it is very heavy though, at over 900g or 2lb(ish). It comes with 4 steel wire pegs and 2 adjustable guy lines, which is nice. I swapped the wire pegs for 6x 8” aluminium ones, which weigh more, but I feel may function better in windy conditions. Just a hunch though at this stage. I can’t fault the tarp as a product, I’m just not looking forward to carrying it for a week at a time…….unless I need it often, in which case I won’t care of course.

No knowing what size tarp to get I thought I would buy the 4x4 DD tarp (it's huge!), after having it for a few weeks and trying different set ups I found that while it was very large a lot of that material was wasted on certain tarp set ups and edges were folded under or doubled over etc... my trekking poles even at maximum extension were only just tall enough and i always ebded up with a lot of slack. So I decided to buy the 3x3 tarp and instantly I had nice taught spacious shelters I found that in my basha set up I actually have more room inside because there is no sag and my trekking pole at maximum height (130cm) is perfect, I don't miss any of the length of the "ground sheet" as with the 4x4 the back of the tarp folded over the narrow portion where my feet went. The 3x3 definitely feels like the right size and being a little smaller it's less faff to put away the 4x4 was like a sail!

Couldn't be happier with this 3x3 Tarp from DD. The tie up points and seams are strong and it packs down very small. Once out in the woods the options were almost limitless for how to have it set up. I ended up going with my favourite, the plough point shelter and there was loads of room for my kit and myself. The only thing I would question is DD's description of the colour. They have it down as a "Coyote Brown" where I would say it's a bit darker than that and more of a chocolate brown but even so it blends in with the UK's autumn colours perfectly. It has 19 tie off points in all so you can adapt it to your surroundings in so many ways. It only comes with 4 guy ropes and 4 pegs but these are cheap enough to pick up online or at your local camping store. I added a further ten pegs and bought some paracord. The great thing about this tarp is it's potential for use in so many circumstances. Pack it up in your day bag for a quick shelter when hiking or take it with you on a family picnic in the park to provide some shade. At around £35 it's a great addition to your kit.

Muy ligero, las piquetas estan bien, igual recomendaría usar otras o añadir mas. Hice una configuración de tipi con mi baston, y me funciono muy bien, el acabado es muy bueno. Aun no lo pruebo en la lluvia, pero, si duda aguantaria.

A superior tarp fabric. The loops for ridgeline and reinforced corners plus quantity is substantial in number and quality. Sewing looks perfect. I VG purchase. Cost equals the quality.

Works well with my DD Jungle hammock. Very good quality and value.

First impression is satisfying. Good material i think the pegs are bit small. But you can neglect that. Overall prity deesant product
