Works for ingrown hairs!! (strong odor, but it dissipates)
I got this cream to combat ingrown hairs. I use an epilator, and no matter what hair removal method Iโve used, I always have gotten ingrown hairs and razor bumps between my waist and my knees, and a few here and there on my calves. I have tried numerous products and methods over the decades to exfoliate my skin to prevent this from happening, but most things donโt work except to use mineral oil first, then apply shaving cream (Art of Shaving or if you canโt afford that, then use Cremo). But I would still get some ingrown hairs and razor bumps. It would just be better than using no oil and cheap shaving cream or soap. So, Iโve never found a good solution. I also tried AmLactin lotion 12%. That helped, but still but enough. I also tried various acne products with 2% salicylic acid, but those were drying and ineffective. Tend Skin also didnโt work for ingrown hairs plus itโs expensive to use twice a day all over from my waist down. I saw this cream and decided to try it. This cream seems to be working!! I donโt even have to use it every day, and ITโS NOT DRYING!!!! About a year ago, I switched from shaving to epilating. This greatly reduced razor bumps, but the ingrown hairs got worse. I would pick them out, but I would damage my skin and leave scars. Over the last 43 years, Iโve accrued 5 large bumps that are scars from where I couldnโt get an ingrown hair out. They look like keloid scars to me. Iโm only 52. I donโt want to keep putting these on my body, so Iโve stepped up my search for an exfoliation method that works for me. I donโt have the time to scrub my body from the waist down with a loofah or dry brush every other day. Plus, whenI tried that with a loofah, it didnโt seem to work irritated my skin, plus it kind of hurt while I did it. The loofah is too tough on that delicate skin. Iโve been epilating and using tweezers to pluck out hairs that are too short for the epilator over the last week or so while I have been using this cream. This cream seems very promising so far!!! I have experienced fewer ingrown hairs, and I havenโt used this cream every day. My only gripe is that while applying the cream to my body from the waist down, there is a strong offensive odor after a few minutes. It nauseates me just a little bit. However, the odor dissipates after applying the cream. It might need from having the jar open while Iโm ailing the cream. The other thing is that this cream doesnโt seem to absorb super well. It absorbs. I donโt know how to explain it. Maybe Iโm putting too much on my calves. I have very dry skin on my calves, and Iโm wondering if this brand will help that. Itโs funnyโฆ Iโve been using an epilator (Braun Silk-รฉpil 9 Flex) for about a year, and while the hair hasnโt grown back finer, in many places, itโs much sparser! Or perhaps whatโs happening is that phenomenon about how the hair grows in three cycles, so maybe Iโm on point with my timing, finally, because my legs have been mostly hair-free for about five days. Usually, I would epilate twice a week. However, Iโve taken to running the epilator every other day to get stray hairs right away. All that to say Iโm not sure what is causing this effect, but Iโm pretty sure the cream is really preventing ingrown hairs. I still have some, but there are much fewer of them. Plus, a lot of them existed before I began using this cream this last week. In addition, since using this cream, I havenโt developed any new razor bumps!! I donโt know how well this works for exfoliating rough or scaly skin because I donโt suffer from that condition. However, Iโve been removing my hair for the last 43 years, and this is the best cream for preventing ingrown hairs and bumps as well as clarifying and softening the skin: my skin in my bikini area and upper thighs (thatโs where I focus the application) is amazingly soft from using this cream!! My biggest challenge now is allowing the hair to grow out instead of trying to pluck out individual hairs that I can see under the skin growing in. I have very light skin, and I often can see the hair under the surface of the skin, and then I get tempted to try to dig out because Iโm afraid it will turn intoโor already isโan ingrown hair. I wonder if other people have experience with this. I really hope that other people will share their experiences with this cream and ingrown hairs. Bottom line: so far, itโs very promising. Iโll update in a month or two.

Very disappointed!
This lotion does not help with my psoriasis. Thatโs what I purchased it for. In the items description it stated that it would help with psoriasis. I wonโt be buying it again.

Leaves bumpy texture
Keralyt 5 does not go on smoothly. It has bumpy texture I guess from not dissolving the salicylic acid completely. The cream also doesn't rub in well leaving streaks and not absorbing into the skin.

Works well for me for psoriasis-like rashes in small problem areas. Stronger than similar products.
Great for the type of psoriasis-like rashes that occur in body folds like under the breasts or belly when my bra irritates the skin underneath the breasts or my old c-section scar sometimes turns red and inflamed. Also good for a spot in the back of my neck at the hairline where I get little psoriasis-like scaly red patches. This along with salicylic acid shampoo and body wash works well for these types of rashes in my case. Good to ask your doctor if this is an appropriate treatment for you though. I am sharing my own experience and not giving medical advice for others here. This is a pretty strong (5% vs 2-3% in some other salicylic acid products, so I use it only in small problem areas when the rashes are active.
