The K&K Upgrade Pencil Straighteners are fantastic! This mini straightener is perfect for short hair. I bought these to replace a very similar set of straighteners that weren't getting hot enough any more. And I bought those for the same reason. That's one of the downsides to these - you get maybe 2 good years before the thermal paste between the heating elements and the outer plates stops working effectively. They have been working well so far but I would definitely change the user interface entirely. My old ones had a dial for the temperature and a switch to turn them on. These have an inaccurate digital display (that says they are up to temperature when they are not) and a terrible set of 3 buttons. You have to hold the power button to switch them on/off and hold the temperate + button until the display counts up the the max 232°c. Every. Time. I like the lock switch on the handle for storage, and the fact they aren't in bright girly colours (it embarrassing enough using straighteners as a guy without them having pink parts!). The cable is also a decent length and highly flexible. I predict they will be discontinued in a year or so, to be replaced with a remarkably similar set with a new name and some slightly different controls. And I'll probably still buy them, as there isn't much choice when it comes to slim straighteners that actually get hot enough!

Brilliant little straightens. My son asked me to order as he has quite short hair at the back. They work perfectly getting the shorter hair and are light to hold and heat up really quickly. Only comment I would have is to have a longer flex.

These are ok - they do the job. Heat could be a little better but they get hot enough I suppose.

Bought for friend she says they’re good

It gets the job done, but on my first tey i burnt little bit of my hair as i wasn't sure wt temperature to use, but it is very precise as it gets all the curvy ends close to the scalp at yhe back end of my hair.
