Griot's Garage Leather Care, Car Seat Cleaner and Conditioner for Upholstery, Furniture, Clothing, and More, 11142, 16oz

Now that Lexol leather conditioner has been reformulated for the worse, this Griot’s Garage leather care is a good replacement. One of my cars is 30 years old and has semi-aniline ‘Nappa’ leather seats, the other is much newer and has the coated ‘Dakota’ leather common today. On Nappa leather, this product is absorbed well, keeps the leather pliable and soft, and with a gentle buffing, just moderately shiny. On coated Dakota leather, like any other leather care product, it isn’t really absorbed but does clean the surface coating and gives it a nice sheen. Used sparingly and buffed after drying, it doesn’t leave a sticky residue and will not leave your seats slick or slippery either. Quite a number of reviews here bemoan an unpleasant ‘chemical smell’, while an equal number say this product smells great. I’m with the ‘smells great’ crowd; but this is a highly subjective judgment. Some people love the taste of cilantro; some people loathe it. You’ll need to make up your own mind; but to me, this has the aroma of new leather. At under ten bucks for a 16 ounce container, it’s a bargain. This is easily enough to keep the seats on a pair of 2-door coupes nicely conditioned for a year.

We bought a new car with manufactured leather for all the reasons you can think of. They haven't disappointed, but we do miss that smell...so after reading the reviews we tried this and it did exactly what we hoped it would. It cleaned effectively, didn't leave a residue, and left a lovely (but not overwhelming) genuine leather scent. We've been using it 1-2 times a month, and in the closed environment of a clean car, the smell lasts. For those considering and unsure; know that the leather isn't exactly new car upholstery leather smell...it's more like lovely new baseball mitt leather. Immediately recognizable as leather, and wonderful without seeming like air freshener, but distinct from the upholstery leather I'm used to.

This is the best leather conditioner I’ve ever used! Beautiful it also cleans too. Use a thick microfiber or Griot’s foam pads for easy application then watch the magic happen.

Love this stuff. Easy on, easy buff, and great leather smell. I use this stuff on my car leather and vinyl, leather furniture, and leather clothing. I clean the leather and vinyl first with a mild solution of dish detergent and water and then wipe on using a microfiber rag that I spray till wet with this product. The leather in my car looks and feels like new after 6 years of heavy use. The leather on my coat is now soft and protected. It's great for the vinyl in cars and best for the dash so it is protected from cracking but doesn't leave a shine as some vinyl protectorants. SAVE YOUR LEATHER with this product.

Great quality product, doesn't leave a greasy shiny mess like a lot of other leather sprays. Leaves a pleasant leather smell that lasts a few days. Super easy to apply, my only gripe is it doesn't last very long before the leather starts to lose its softness again but it's so easy to re-apply so I guess it's no big deal.

This is good when you need to clean leather upholstery (I use it in my car) plus it lightly conditions it. We bought a used SUV and I could not believe what this spray cleaned out of the leather, especially the steering wheel. Yuuuuk! I'm on my second bottle now. It's good to clean up kids messes on seats too and doesn't cause down time waiting for it to soak in or set. Smells like a decent leather product too.

Works well, smells nice, and doesn't leave a greasy finish.
