But they are soft enough that they can be squished. The blocks are not solid. They have air inside. If they want to squish it or put it in their mouth, they would not get hurt. I would suggest washing them to be safe. The colors are very nice and they came in their own back to store them. The size of the blocks are perfect for holding in little ones hands. They didn’t have a smell of them, which makes me feel safe. My kids had a lot of fun playing with them.
